WHY THIS MATTERS
Table for Ten is an educational intervention that equips students and professionals in the built environment with the communication and leadership skills necessary to advance their careers, build meaningful relationships, and increase representation in leadership positions. Our goal is to demonstrate to young adults ages 18 and older that networking, communication, and relationship-building are skills that can be learned and strengthened through practice. By normalizing the discomfort that often accompanies these experiences and providing opportunities for guided practice, Table for Ten helps participants build the soft skills necessary to thrive in their careers and eventually lead within the construction industry.

Since launching, Table for Ten has engaged hundreds of participants across the built environment and created opportunities for learning, mentorship, and professional connection.

Table for Ten intentionally creates access to industry leaders and professional networks that many students and emerging professionals would not otherwise encounter, including direct interaction with CEOs, founders, developers, principals, public officials, and investors.

Participants and organizations repeatedly choose to return, demonstrating sustained demand and perceived value. The expansion from annual summits to monthly workshops was driven directly by participant feedback and demand.
